Data sources
GameScript builds lineups and draft advice from public data and from files you upload. Every outside source it reads is credited here. When a lineup or player list uses blended public projections or ownership, the reply names those publishers too.
Slates and salaries
- DraftKings: The public NFL lobby and salary export: slates, salaries, roster positions, injury status, and contest listings. Published payout tables for contests GameScript simulates. Read as a logged-out visitor; GameScript never signs in to DraftKings or enters contests.
GameScript is not affiliated with or endorsed by DraftKings.
GameScript house projections and ownership
The house model is GameScript's own projection and ownership estimate. It is built from these public sources:
- nflverse player data: Weekly player stats, snap counts, depth charts and injury reports, which the GameScript house projection model reads. Licensed CC-BY-4.0.
- nflverse schedule and lines: The season schedule, kickoff times, venues, and the consensus spread and total for each game. Licensed CC-BY-4.0.
- National Weather Service: The kickoff-hour forecast for outdoor stadiums. Public domain.
- DynastyProcess player ids: The player-id crosswalk that matches nflverse players to their DraftKings ids, so each projection lands on the right player.
Blended public projections and ownership
The blend is a plain average of what these sites publish for free, read the way any visitor would see them. Each player's row says how many of them priced him and how far apart they were. A player none of them covers falls back to the house model.
- Daily Fantasy Fuel: DraftKings projected points.
- Footballguys: DraftKings projected points.
- Fantasy Football Calculator: DraftKings projected ownership.
- Footballguys: DraftKings projected ownership.
Slate research
The research tool (dfs_get_slate_intel) passes on what other people have said about a slate: published articles, podcast transcripts, and beat reporting on injuries, usage, chalk, and leverage. Each claim in the reply names its publisher and, where there is one, the writer, and carries a link to the piece. A claim heard on a broadcast with no page to link says where it was heard instead. GameScript quotes these as the publisher's opinion, not its own.
Season-long draft tools
The draft assistant follows a live Sleeper draft and ranks who is still available. It reads:
- Sleeper: The public draft feed: your leagues, draft settings, and each pick as it lands, looked up from the Sleeper username you give. Also the draft board's average draft position and season-long projections (RotoWire's, below). Read without a login; GameScript never signs in to Sleeper.
- RotoWire: The season-long player projections Sleeper relays, which the draft board ranks players by.
- FantasyPros expert consensus rankings: The average of FantasyPros' expert rankings and how far the experts disagree, matched to your league's scoring and quarterback format. The rankings are FantasyPros' editorial aggregation.
GameScript is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sleeper, RotoWire, or FantasyPros.
Your own files
Projections, salary files, and contest standings you upload come from you, not from any source above. The Privacy Policy says how they are stored and used.
